I work alot. Like 80 hours a week alot. Except I now have a full weekend off, and I'm itchin for a road trip. Where should I go?
Starting point: Columbia, SC
Initially, I was thinking of going to the Smokeys and hit up the Tail of the Dragon again. But given the time of the year, its not the prettiest part of the country.
If I was to go south (Georgia, or Florida) where would I go?

North Georgia in the Helen/Dahlonega area is pretty nice. I make day/afternoon trips up from Atlanta once in awhile.

Keep it in mind. Plan is for us to get in to Knoxville the evening of the 15th and spend the 16th on the dragon and deals gap.

Our plan is to play around in Deals Gap for most of the day on the 16th. Spend that night in Charlotte. The next day i've got to help out some family in the area on the 17th (others on the trip are pitching in to help too). The next morning on the 18th, we're leaving Charlotte early AM, like 7am probably, and heading toward Atlanta. Along the way we're stopping at the BMW Factory/BMW Zentrum in Spartenberg, SC. Around like 130pm or 2pm, we plan on getting to Atlanta Motorsports Park to do some karting on their .85 mile track (with elevation). Spend the night of the 18th in Atlanta, spend part of the 19th in Atlanta and at some point head back toward Knoxville, hitting Tail of the Dragon again.
